Pro-western NGOs help Sudanese opposition to destroy the country. Part 1.
Shadow activity of American
NGOs and Sudanese opposition have led Sudan to the collapse for many years.
Western organizations, working closely with the State Department and the CIA,
have been sponsoring the leaders of the protests since 2010, gaining their
political power every year. At the same time, support is provided through
radically minded billionaires who have links at the highest level.
In Sudan, NGOs that have
been working there for many years contributed to the emergence of opposition
groups. One of them is Sudan Change Now, formed in 2010 in order to
overthrow Omar al-Bashir regime. According to Mac Gill,
an expert from the University of Toronto, this organization consists of young
representatives of the middle class and wage workers from other countries.
The official representative
of this NGO is Amjed Farid.
Now he is a member of the Sudanese Professionals Association (SPA) - one of the
opposition parties in Sudan, which conducts protests in the country. Another
opposition activist is Khalid Omar Yusif, a member of the Sudanese
Congress Party and one of the leaders of the Forces of the Freedom and
Change Declaration. Previously, he was the leader of Sudan Change Now.
It is obvious that the current opposition has tried to unite for many years.
The most important fact is that their mobilization took place abroad. According
to our source, SCN had a department in Washington.
Moreover, SCN has close
links with the Girifna Sudanese youth movement. The leaders of this
organization are Nagi Musa and Rudwan Dawod.
The latter still participates in opposition activities: he was considered as an
active participant of protests this year.
It may be noted that,
according to the statement of the members of Girifna, their NPO does not
receive funding from foreign countries. Organization allegedly receives private
donations. Although, their activities were reported in detail on the websites of
Western human rights organizations such as the OpenDemocracy,
sponsored by the famous American financier George Soros. In addition, the
information was also distributed on the website of the African Center for
Justice and Peace Studies, who paid a lot of attention to Sudanese
protests. In 2012, this organization received a grant of $ 100,000 from the
Humanity United Foundation. The opposition e-newspaper Sudan Tribune,
which is based in Paris, also receives support from the same fund.
Meanwhile, representatives
of Girifna often
visited the events of the NGO Enough Project. The coordinator
of these meetings is Jonathan Hutson, a well-known media professional
with extensive high-level contacts in Washington. He also worked in this
organization in 2010. At that time, he was consulting on strategic cooperation.
He might have initiated meetings
devoted to Sudan. He is also notorious for spreading information about Russian
PMCs in Sudan. The data he
disseminated was not supported by facts.
David Abramowitz, director of communication
with state and public organization in Humanity United, is another
participant of these encounters. If you know more about this non-commercial
organization, you will get information about the holder. This is the well-known
founder of online auction site Ebay billionaire Pierre Omidyar. One of the
richest men in the world is notorious for the financing of global information
wars. Having billions of dollars at its disposal, his organization invested $
1 850 000 and $
500 000 in the development of Enough Project in 2011 and 2012 respectively.
There is an important detail: Enough Project was initially established under the aegis of the Center for American Progress and the International
Crisis Group of George Soros. This project was founded by the prominent
statesmen of Obama administration and lobbyist John Podesta. Previously Gale
Smith had held leadership positions
together with him. This woman had served as a special assistant to the
President George Bush and had been involved in the consulting of numerous
non-commercial organizations in the US and Canada. Also, she used to work in USAID.
Sudan Tribune received
support from the oligarch too. Furthermore, grant money is received
by different professional experience-sharing sessions, schools of leadership
for Sudanese diaspora, symposiums on the account of the events in Sudan and
South Sudan. The purposes of such encounters were to create opposition with
professional support team which is supposed to incite protest moods. The
creators of the project Sudan
Democracy First Group got on the list of grantees.
Another interesting grant is the support of 100,000
dollars of researchers from Harvard with the title: “coverage of conflicts with
the help of modern technologies”. Grantees have a connection with the famous
scientist Eric Reeves. He has been engaged in Sudan for a long time and does
not hide his support for Sudanese protesters by publishing information on Twitter
and on his personal
website. For his fierce opposition activity, which runs counter to
the rules of ethics of scientists, he received a grant of $ 20,000 from the
same Humanity United.
If you follow the path of creating non-commercial
organizations in Sudan, you will see that these projects were implemented as a
part of the Arab spring. However, the protests of 2012-2013 did not produce
results and Omar al-Bashir remained in power. The lurking opposition, together
with Western non-profit organizations, waited a long time to go back to the
active phase of the protests. Now, having already been taught by experience,
they are trying to embody their despicable idea of destroying Sudan, provoking
population during protests and producing fake news.
At the same time,
non-commercial organizations began to work without any coverage. For example,
since 2016, Humanity United has ceased to keep records of grants. In this
regard, we can only guess which scale the ongoing activities for training the
protest forces have and how significant sums fall into the pocket of the
opposition members who are advantageous to the West.
